how does it work? if i add someone as a buddy how do i know if they add me back? also if im added by someone how do i know? can i see the lists of buddies other ppl have?

OK first things first, check the FAQ.

Now to answer the question. The buddy system is used so that if you have a friend that you play regularly, then you can ad then there so that they may challenge you even if you are at your max. Although as a non-subscriber you will only be allowed 6 games anyway.

Now lastly, this question should be asked in the help forums.

Buddies = The people who pick you up off the floor when you've had too much to drink and make sure you get home and into your proper bed.

I take my artificial friends from online and invite them to my BBQ each year where they blossom into RL friends. Just add food, beer, and fun.

Next I test them on the guitar... It's a simple test admittedly, courtesy claps being just as good as real applause.
