Neither Presidental candidates seem like the best the counrty has to offer. Does it seem to any of you that best among us have nothing to do with politics? It appears to be something like acting. You have to look the part to get in the running. If some brillant little ugly guy was to run for President, and had no personality, but he had the best ideas to come out of a human in years. He could change the world for the better with his marvelous ideas, but he does not fit the mold for the leader of the free world. It's a movie star world we live in. It's all about image.

Originally posted by rwingettI agree, Rob. He's unabashedly arrogant, and way, way, way out of touch with what is really going on in Iraq. He placates us with catchphrases like "We're making progress" and "We've turned a corner". Meanwhile, here in the real world, the man who is responsible for the worst crime ever on US soil is still at large, Iran is resuming their nuclear ambitions, and in Iraq there are 31 more potential hostage-beheading videos waiting to be made. Some progress.
