Originally posted by 7ate9Anti-Americanism is so sad. It's really why we don't care what others think of us. We can't win. If we act as the world police, we're "trying to take over the world". If we don't act, we're "being inhumane" by not helping those people. When you see this attitude from other countries time and time again, you finally put your hands up and say "SCREW YOU". Americans are the most hard-working, honest, giving people in the world. Tell me another country that does more for the world. Yes we have the resources to do it, but so does Europe. I don't see half the help coming from Europe. Europeans like to talk and talk and talk and talk and talk... but never actually act. When has a European nation actually taken the lead on an issue and acted. I can't think of any since WWII. They alway defer to the US. Why? Because we don't care what others think of us and do what we think is right.
he always gets a cheeky smile and that racist look of superiority in his eyes before innocent people are about to die. sometimes peoples bad qualities betray themselves, because it lets everyone know something is happening. it just says to me that he doesn't care for those innocent people who die.
one my school teachers told me he could tell if i lied, because it would be written on my face.
Now for the people who hate the Americanization of your culture. We don't force you to watch our movies, buy our Coke or eat our hamburgers. You do it by your own free will. If you don't want us to change your culture, create products that people want. If there was a French version of Coke that was just as good, people would probably buy it just as much. I can't stand people who bash Americanism before ordering a Big Mac.
If you want to be taken seriously by Americans, follow through on your rhetoric. Americans like people who don't try to talk over us an ddo what they say. I think this is why Bush was elected. He spoke to people as if they we *gasp* people and not as inferiors. He said what he was going to do and by and large he did it. I voted for Bush, but I am by no means 100% happy with him. He has been a good, not great President for the times we're in. If you want to bash someone, please use facts and not just mindless catch phrases.
