You find yourself trapped in a loveless marriage (with RHP being your wife/husband/partner in this case), with a limited amount of features available to you. So you deside to try and find a steamy mistress, to give you some happiness (the mistress in this case being gameknot). You find that your mistress gives you a good time for a while, but then starts asking for money (goldigger). So you decide to return to your one true love, where you decide to see if buying your partner's love will work. And it does, allowing you full access to all the fun places of RHP.
