I've just punched a hole through my wall.

The Finns certainly look strong. They're aggressive, their goaltending hasn't suffered with Kiprusoff's withdrawal, and their defense is incredible. I reall, REALLY hope Canada can get out of this funk...

yep thay have the best defence in the tournament, not bad going forward either 🙂

i'm sure canada will start playing a bit more like a team in the next couple of matches, they'll have a tough quater final though. looks like russia or sweden.

Yes, foppa is important to the Swedish team. He'll play on tuesday against Slovakia. That should be exciting for us Swedes. 🙂

It was good to see the Swedish team beat USA without foppa. It proves that the team as a whole is good. However, they were nothing compared to Finland today. I hope they'll get better.

In Sweden if you say: "Peter Forsberg did well last night", most Swedes go: "Who?", but if you say: "Foppa played really well" everyone knows of whom you speak. There is only one Foppa.

He's kinda like a legend over here and I imagine he'll be remembered a loooong time after he's stopped playing. 😀

Of course, Sudden is also a nickname to be revered. Sudden would be a 110 Kg monster on the ice. Also known as Mats Sundin.

AH! Of course, I should've guessed.

In Toronto, we call Mats "Deaner". At least I do...

I actually enjoy watching "Deaner" play. He's a really strong player. A lot of brute force in him.

Foppa on the other hand has been injured a lot which is sad, cause he's a great player. They say he's alright now and he looked good yesterday. So we'll see if he can take Sweden to glorious victories now.

To bad for Canada today. They played brutal in the second and third period, but they really screwed up those powerplays. No "expert" here in Sweden were expecting Finland to do so well, and there they are, totally undefeated thus far. So much for experts. 🙂
