I'm eating Jelly Beans right now and they are so good with many different flavors ๐Ÿ˜‹
When I was a little kid Jelly Beans had almost no flavor and it was like eating wax.
Nice improvement Mr. Jelly Bean! A+

Bubble gum used to be loaded with sugar and flavor and you could blow bubbles with it.
Now it tastes like your chewing a menthol cigarette butt and don't even think about blowing a bubble with it. You're only going to accidentally spit it out if you try.
You fail Mr. Bubble Gum! F.

@Contenchess
I remember 'Space Dust' a powder that crackles on the tong, rather bitter sweet after taste.

I remember 'Angel Dust' Trading Places.

Now we have 'Rainbow Dust' LBGTQ+//_hellosailor#shinehelment.php?

What the hell are you guys talking about? ๐Ÿคจ

The thread is about candy and how it has changed for better or for worse since your childhood.

You know what?...Just forget it!

I ate 2 bags of those gourmet Jelly Beans and my tummy hurts ๐Ÿ˜”

All I know is when I was a kid Hershey bars were a nickel and now they are almost two bucks.

When I was a kid our class went to a Hershey chocolate factory for a school trip and I was the only kid whose parents didn't give me money to buy some in the gift shop.

That was a sad day for me ๐Ÿ˜”

And how did wages develop in the same time?

...or you got fatter?

Then (the early 50s...1950s ๐Ÿ‘) I remember spending a nickel and getting a grab bag full of “Jaw Breakers” and “Blackballs”, both of which, I’m sure were invented and peddled, wholesale, by dentists. I haven’t seen either of them in decades.๐Ÿ˜ฅ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

Let's see...... back then minimum wage was a dollar an hour, so I could buy 20 Hershey bars.
Today minimum wage is $7.25/hour, so I could buy almost 4 Hershey bars.
