The fact that there have been innocent men convicted of murder is enough cause to do away with capital punishment.

Well, you can't very well give people back the years that they spend in jail either, unless of course you have found the fountain of youth. Money is no compensation for years in prison, and the stigma that you carry through life after being set free. So why prosecute criminals at all? We can't be 100% sure that anyone is guilty, can we? I agree also that judges, lawers, police officers, jurists etc. should all be put to death if it is found that an innocent man was executed...just like all women should be raped if they wrongly identify a suspect, all store owners should be forced out of business if their cameras lead to the ID of the wrong suspect in a robbery...etc. I think you see where I am going with this. But I'm done now...I avoid the debate forums on purpose, sorry I got involved here.
