Ever been to one? Gamble?

I'd been to the empire before in London just to watch an American football match and didn't spend much time on the casino floor. Went again last night and watched an Asian guy blow thousands on roulette, anytime he won he'd just throw it back on the table. Madness.

What a waste of time and money. It's definitely not for people who need money.

Boring.

Movies try to make it glamorous and exciting but it's just full of hardcore gambling addicts.

Even winning money wouldn't have made it fun.

I think it’s more of a man thing? I have no interest at all in them.

It might be. I'm definitely not a gambler in any way, I save money rather than risk it.

I wonder if the gambling addiction comes to those who ‘unluckily’ get a few wins in their youth? I used to play the lottery every week. After a couple of years I decided that if I’d meant to win a fortune it would have happened by then so I gave it up.

Yes, and yes.

I don't like them. They're full of loud people. One intoxicated jerk wanted to tell me the story of his life. Played roulette. Was up $20.00 then lost $25.00 back. Left, never went back.

That was my plan as well, bet £20 and who cares what happens. In the end I didn't even do that, stuck a fiver into one of the roulette machines and after about 20 minutes I still had a fiver so just cashed out and left.

Remember a few years ago arriving in a place in Cambodia at about 6/7am and looking for a toilet. Ended up going into a casino, the only thing opened, just peed and left but the place was full of Chinese men gambling away. At 6/7am.

I've only been in 1 casino in Canberra.
Took fifty dollars in and came out with $850. Could have been $1200 if I didn't stay that extra 5 minutes.
I've no desire to try again.

That's what they call the "sweet spot".

I hit a slot machine at a restaurant after breakfast real early one morning leaving Vegas and walked out with $400. It hit after I had put in like $5.

I’m ‘aquatinted with someone’ who worked as an expert witness in court cases involving people who obtained payouts from gaming machines via illegal means. Having designed these machines he was usually able to provide reports and diagrams to back up any evidence that the gaming halls had already provided to the police.

Probably kept him busy, too. Plenty of people looking to "beat the system".

Do you think we should report Suzi? That $400 win seems suspicious 😯
