Yes, folks, the penultimate game of the season, and Cerezo have taken the lead over Ganba, their local rivals.
Ganba have lost an incredible 5 games in succession now, and have dropped from being 12 points clear at the top of the table, to being 1 point behind Cerezo. Cerezo, on the other hand, have won 8 of their last 11 games, drawing 3, and have finally overtaken Ganba by 1 point. Ganba lost against Jef United, wo are in 5th position now.
Kashima Antlers could only draw so they drop down to 4th.
Urawa Reds won as well, so they jump back into 3rd, and with 5 teams only separated by 2 points, any of the top 5 could win the league this year.
In the last match of the season, to be played on Saturday 3rd December, everything will be decided.
Cerezo will play FC Tokyo, who are in 9th position, at home, and it's already sold out. Cerezo should win this game and take the championship with a couple of points lead.
Ganba will play Kawasaki, who are in 6th. Judging by their performance in the last few matches, they'll lose (again) (HAHAHA).
Urawa Reds are away to Niigata (15th), which should be an easy win for them; Jef United are home to Nagoya Grampus (13th); and Kashima are at home against Kashiwa Reysol (16th) which should be an easy win for them... But in a season full of upsets and giant-killing, anything could happen.
