Ganba stay at the top of the league with 57 points, and because Kashima Antlers drew 1-1 against FC Tokyo, they still remain in second place on 54. Cerezo have 53 points now, and with only 4 matches remaining in this season, it looks like things are hotting up in the race for the Championship. Ganba have lost 3 matches recently, and drawn 1, whereas Cerezo have won 8 of their last 9 matches (they drew against Kashima 2 weeks ago).

Cerezo drew against Oita Trinity, and a damn fine game it was too. I know, I was there to witness the thrills and spills. So, Cerezo are now in 2nd place (still) with 57 poinrts too, but Ganba's goal difference is higher (28 against Cerezo's 8).
