Tacky, Tacky, Tacky. I long for the day when their very dubious nouveau riche gangster benefactor is nicked and Chelsea are back where they truly belong; down a division or two playing in front of 8,000 rascist animals caged in by electric fences.
And don't get me started on their manager......

Bet the starving Russian millions are happy knowing their hard earned money is going on pampered footballers and luxury yachts.
I too look forward to seeing the diminuitive Russian thief sent to a gulag and living on fish eye soup.

chelsea have - famously - no history. liverpool had won their league 4 times before chelsea were even founded! people are bedazzled by the huge amounts of $cash that are floating around, which distract attention away from the paucity of their trophy cabinet.
as for the current outfit - the pitch is a disgrace, mourhino spent most of his post-match interview against barca railing against sky's mis-treatment of essian instead of the game at hand (it *was* priceless tv though, haha), and how a man like mourinho can ever complain about players diving anyway is a joke - he was moaning about barca players diving when they learnt their trade when playing under mourhino at porto!

The pitch, the sending off, his comments re: diving, the Essien tackle.

All he is doing is deflecting attention from his team losing, Barcelona being a better football team, the daunting task of the away leg, the way the Del Horno signing hasn't particularly worked out. He knows that if the media were talking about these things, it could affect the players, their confidence and their performance, as well as boosting the opposition.
So instead he turns on the hypocrisy, the stuff about the pitch and 'ugly scientists', decisions by the ref, Barcelona's theatres, and all the rest of the junk. And by the looks of it, it's working.

couldn't agree more about del horno though.
edit: i don't think anyone's accusing mourinho of being a joke, by the way, even though his behaviour after the game was comical.

By 'Essien tackle' I meant 'Sky's coverage of the Essien tackle' and after Mourinho made the comments several news outlets - both online and newspaper - picked up on it and ran it as a story. You yourself talked about it in your post! Number of stories focusing on the fact that had signed a better left back they might not have found themself in that position? Not many.
Although there might be more tomorrow - apparantly Del Horno came off after 20 minutes in this afternoon's game against Portsmouth to be replaced by Damian Duff at left back!

As a result of this the standard of living there has shot up and people don't tend to freeze to death in winter any more. Our friend the Chelsea owner has also made extensive progress in providing jobs and opportunities for the people of the region who have responded in kind by taking them and ceasing to migrate to Moscow or Vladivostok at the first opportunity.
Children from this region now also have unprecendented and exciting opportunities to travel and learn more than how to rake snow off their cars. Abramovich's money takes these kids to the Black Sea for summer camps etc etc etc
So it is NOT all one-way traffic, and please can we not assume that everybody with more than a few quid is inherently evil.
So, be told!
