Bobby Fischer famously said that 'chess is life' and I've heard many people say that chess is a metaphor for life. For some reason I agree, but I can't quite explain it to people that don't play. Can anyone have a crack at trying to explain just how chess is a metaphor for life?
I could probably try to thing of some other meanings, but these were the ones I could come up with off the top of my head.
