... generally assumed to indicate a reasonable level of intelligence.
It's an offence against intelligence and reason to create rules which no-one knows or understands. There is basic legislation that protects citizens against arrest without charge, punishment without the chance of defence, arbitrary imprisonment without any charge (though poor Shaker Aamer has been imprisoned for fourteen years in Guantanamo in exactly those conditions.)
I do not believe that Red Hot Pawn wants to exercise arbitrary retribution for crimes that its subscribers neither intended nor understood that they were committing.
I once again appeal to moderators to explain why very careful and inoffensively constructed posts are being arbitrarily deleted without any warning or explanation.
I particularly regret the deletion of my earliest thoughtful post today because I wasn't suspicious enough to make a copy. It headed what became a substantial thread with a number of very careful posts from equally careful members, and my opening post attracted many thumbs up recommendations triggering an automatic information alert telling me that many people had recommended it.
But it's gone. All vanished. And a lot of careful work went into that. Now I make copies.
I'm a subscriber, entirely loyal to this site. My name is good with at least one moderator, currently unfortunately not on duty, and also, I believe, my reputation is good with Russ. So, whoever is currently moderating this forum, please think twice before erasing this post. It doesn't deserve deletion. And please bear in mind that I did not cause the closure of the Clans forum. I've broken no rules. Yet the person at the root of the whole problem is currently still active on the site, and re-establishing his third clan, the other two having been closed by Russ as a disciplinary measure.
Surely this deleting business has just got to stop? And it would be lovely if we could soon have our own forum back, please, delightful as this one is?
Please?
