I'm currently in the market for good children's animation / cartoons. (Barney, Teletubbies etc are out ) for a 3-year-old. Any recommendations? Anything downloadable out there?

The 3 yr old that I live with enjoys Dinosaur, Alladin, Lion King (tho that can get a bit scary for a 3yr old).

Looking for something a bit more...I dunno...discerning? I've tried out Pocoyo, Steven Fry voice-over, very nice. Less noisy & frenetic, more interactive than most kids' videos I've seen.

Blue clues. Even my one year old likes that. And it's interactive. Not too sure but wouldn't you be able to down;oad from limewire? And have you tried the wiggles? Very upbeat and energetic.

Anything but Barney, please. They might even grow up liking him. My kids quite liked Teletubbies but grew out of it when they were about five. You must also realise that if your kids find something they like, they're going to watch it again and again, so you've got to be able to live with it.

Dora the Explorer is great too for 3 yr olds.. by 4 and 5 they love it even more, My 2yr old daughters have started watching it even already.
Yes., blueclues as well is great. For downloads, Torrents is the way to go, usually you can download complete seasons of programs then burn them on a DVD

I don't know if it's a girl you're talking about, but according to my house-mate (who has a 3.5 year old girl) the new Barbie range of videos is supposed to be excellent.

Seemingly they incorprate classical music, ballets and things like that as well as a pinkish story line.
