I still think many in her position would know Bruce Lee from a single photo. That's what makes him an icon.

Come on, seriously, Lee even kicked Chuck's butt in Way of the Dragon.
Chuck = fat, cheesey, bad actor, terrible hairstyle
Lee = lean, mean, bad actor, questionable fashion sense
Who would you back?

link is to a great interview with joe bluming, a legendary martial artist. the guy had real impressive credentials and the guy is quite outspoken too. given that the man was a big and tough ... and then had high level black belts in oyama karate and judo to boot. well when he says bruce and chuck were little boys when it comes to fighting, one begins to realize that there is alot of hype and few facts to justify the icon status of bruce and chuck. my main point is that you should not believe everything you see from popular media.

I did hear a story once about a right hard old nutter who took on all-comers and tore them apart, and one day was tamed by a middle-aged Aikido master who fought him with the minimum of effort. The thug was so impressed that he took up Aikido and went on to become a high dan grade himself. He toured the States and elsewhere giving demos, but I just don't remember his name and Google hasn't led me to it.
