    Coins

Not commemorative or gold or silver or numismatic or rare collector coins, just everday ordinary coins... we all know each circulating coin of the realm has two sides. Sometime we forget there's another side that's hidden from public view.

Two examples would be indepth backstories
to reported news and the unauthorized use
of special computer engines in chess games.

    Third might be...

Neither of those have anything to do with coins.

Thread employs 'Coins' metaphorically to illustrate the human tendency to hide; to portray a well constructed veil which prevents access to what's really going on in the human mind; and to elevate 'Coins' to the status of an ongoing object lesson of the duplicity that surrounds us within our immediate periphery as well as throughout the larger world.

Certainly true for yours truly when young. Just ask my dear, longsuffering parents or brothers or neighborhood friends should there ever be any doubts still lingering. During my twenties and since I gradually came to realize the utter folly of self justification, self deception and self absorption. Zorba the Greek got it right that memorable day when he emerged naked from the surf to the chagrin of the gawking men and women and muttered, "Life's worth more than a fig leaf". One of the many things I appreciate about Hand of Hecate is his brutal candor. What a contrast with the cowardly habit of some who hide behind their thumbs. Imagine the deprivations and wrong decisions fueling these sickly motivations.

    Your thread, you mean.

Your thread does not employ in-field observation, but the mere unobtrusive kind of quasi-experiment, for which you have no hypothesis but your own dilemma. If you feel the need to elevate a 'coin' to a human mind, go ahead; despite being bizarre.

You use words continuously out of context, just to sound impressive.

Of course, an occupational hazard of being alive.
Now that you're in 'the know' you, too, can stop
sitting on your thumbs and join that thoughtful
component of the human race which still strives
to remain vigilant and inwardly informed.
