I noticed something curious--I sometimes check my personal mail at work on a web page hosted by my ISP; I don't see spam on it, but when I open my email program at home, the spam rolls in. What's up with that?

It's the same ISP. But when I'm at work, I'm not at home, so I check it on a webpage--a 'virtual inbox' (VI), if you like. You'd think that all my emails, spam or not, would show up in the VI, but that is not the case. The same applies if I close my email program at home and open up my VI. I hope I've made myself sufficiently clear.

Seems strange. Clutching at straws here, but could it be that your ISP has a spam filter in its web domain, hence putting it in a seperate folder? When you download them at home, it then brings back all your mail.
