They had a bit of an easy run to the finals, but that's soccer for you. A fortunate penalty decision against Australia in R16 (they might have won anyway, but now we'll never know...), Argentina and Brazil knocked out for them by Germany and France respectively. But they beat Germany, defended well, attacked well enough, and kept their heads in the final penalty shootout.

So, well done!

I am a huge Brazil fan, and I was swearing so much when France beat them. It was France, right? So naturally, I cheered for Italy. Whoo-hoo!
