Alot of people have considered the fact that Keres was made to throw
the match for the WC against Botvinnik in 1948 but the only one I
could really see was Bronstein made to throw it to him a few years
later.

Anyone else got thoughts on this?

Nothing is certain in life, Dave. I've read that Bronstein story on the
treachery at Zürich 1953 at The chess Cafe. Also a follow-up by Soltis,
but you'd better read Hans Ree's opinion at The Che Chess Cafe. He
proves quite something else. It's a good read and his arguments
seem be sound. Jan

I am just recounting his words...which are vague...in "Sorcerers
Apprentice" and what he said to Bobby at Mar de Palta 1960.

In that he was pretty clear.

Curaçao 1962 Fischer was (I think correctly so) complaing about the
Russians playing easy draws to keep him from perhaps winning. It
seems so. But it takes a strong player to judge on that. I'm not such
a player. Just an intermediate thing I am. Jan
