Indonesia is being hit hard.
The hospitals are overrun.
I have three friends who have complained that half their work colleagues have tested positive.
The friend I had a few beers with last Thursday evening tested positive the next morning and has had to cancel his flight back to the Netherlands.
The friend I had a few beers with last Tuesday - who met Indonesia Phil the week before last - has contracted COVID and is braving it out at home.
The place where my wife gets her hemodialysis has a shortage of nurses.

@kevin-eleven saidThere may be some other people in a certain amount of peril currently who are baffled by the widespread feeling that it's all behind us.
@FMF
Sorry to hear it. Thank you for posting this.
@fmf saidIs Indonesia due to receive any additional vaccines from countries which have progressed well with their vaccination programs?

The vaccine rollout here in the UK has been nothing short of an astonishing nationwide effort. Infections are skyrocketing but daily deaths are around the single digit area and mostly consider of elderly, frail or otherwise previously infirm persons.
@fmf saidWere you or your wife able to get vaccinated?

@the-gravedigger saidAs for me personally, I think I may be relatively safe because I believe I already had COVID back in May. Thanks for the good wishes.

I saw this Thread on the second page so no need making another COVID related thread.
I went in to try for a booking again this morning early and found there to be actually lots of spots open. As a rule everything is fully booked, I am happy to have it out of the way.
Myself and better half got our second shot which was Mederna late morning, We got our first one (Pfizer) on May 5th, so a long time between shots. The professionals of course believe it is ok. So will find out if we get sick on it or not, some do, but I understand it isn't that bad.
There is some talk about a possible 3rd shot which would be known as a booster, after everyone has had two shots. I was surprised to learn some hadn't had their first shot until today.
