My WXI would be:
Hayden
Sehwag (ODI) Dravid (Tests)
Kallis (I don't count him as a real all rounder any more)
Lara (Tests) Fleming (ODI)
Gilchrist (ODI) Sangakkara (Tests)
Tendulkar (Tests) Gayle / Muralitharan (ODI)
Flintoff
Pollock
Warne
Akhtar
Gillespie (Tests) McGrath (ODI)
It is difficult to get good left-handed bowlers.
the one leftie i did miss earlier is Vaas (rated 2nd in ODI on PWC)...
defo would not go with Kumar K, AG everytime..

No ways, Kumar is a better test player than Adam - rated higer by PWC as well. But for ODIs I'd stick Gilchrist in.
Originally posted by Crowleyyeah agreed KS is rated as a better test player and probably rightly so.. Gilly defo a better bet for ODI's (in my team would drop Langer for ODI and bring in either Lara or Symonds)

but here are my reasons for Gilly over KS in tests.
1. AG has the ability to turn a game or bat the opposition to death where as the KS has the ability to bat for a long periods. i am of the school of thought rather lose trying to win than just draw. and given the top order i would rather have a big hitter at or around the 7 spot.
just think the ashes when AG was on 90 something and last man mcgrath strode out, AG went onto make 156 odd and game over.
2. in my team i have warne and AG is better equipt to keep to warne. if i had murali then maybe.
i may just swop out flintoff and bring Vaas to get some of the required lefties quota.

Most people pointed out that he is just a bowler who bats a bit.
One wag then suggested that he was more of a lower order batsman who bowls a bit 😉
