Shuffling onto the real topic and ignoring my previous forage into misinterpreted waters, the man is mad but entertaining. The little boy stunt was extremely irresponsible, regardless how well fed / docile the crocs may have been at the time. But on the entertaining side, I saw a "Top 10 most venomous snakes" program he did. In the programs intro there was a line that really had me laughing: he was bemoaning the requirements of finding all 10 of these snakes in the wild, till he came away with the classic line: "Fortunately, nine of them live right here in Australia". Fortunately!!! There's a misuse of the word if ever there was one.
Pre-edit: just one sec before I hit 'post', I noticed it read "Top 10 most venomous snales" above: just how deadly are Australian snails anyway? Everything else seems to be...

i think he is insane, totally out of his mind- but more power to him! He's experiencing things I would not dare and if he gets killed doing what he loves, well? He got killed doing what he loves! And keeping us entertained along the way. the action with his baby was a little off the top, but he knows better than me what is safe around a croc. It is only huge in the news because he's famous and it was on t.v. Worse things happen everyday to children that no one hears about.

i take it that your joking about steve irwin being insane n.crosby, there's plenty more where he came from in aussie. interestingly, it seems that the yanks are really taken with 'our' steve. in aussie his show is no-where near as popular. on the issue of his baby @ the croc /amusement park, when asked, he was surprised anyone thought that his boy was in any kind of danger, is amazing what the press can do with telephoto lenses and camera angles (ask an royal)
croc lunges, drops baby - best case scenario (other all being well ofcourse).
the bottom line is u dont take yre kid into a cage filled with crocs.
dont get me wrong, for the most part he is amusing but he is still an idiot.
when i was in the bush back some of the lads had this challenge about sticking an beer bottle label on an elephants backside. very funny to watch them running with the ele in hot pursuit. but idoitic behaviour.
