This should be in Posers and Puzzles, but is possibly of more general interest than most of what's in there. I've been writing crosswords for a campus newspaper for two issues; we've received a few entries, but none completely correct so far, that I know of. If anyone wants to have a go, keep my self-proclaimed title in mind and go to:

The second one has a few geeky fluid-mechanics references because the target audience for the paper consists largely of geeks, but usually there are other ways to work them out.
