I think I am going to have to wait for answers to the first puzzle to figure out how they work, cause I am lost! I thought I had it figured out from the other thread, but when I went to the puzzle, I was totally confused.

" It's nonsense..." suggests that the solve is a word loosely associated with that phrase.
"...when Germany is involved in a ...." puts 'G' (for Germany) in the next task.
" silly feud". - silly, being an anagram indicator puts 'G' (Germany) in a scramble of the letters contained in 'feud' gets you "fudge" which suggests nonsense.
I'm not too good at this end so if anyone wants to jump in with a better 'walk up' go for it.
