My beaker is the first one or maybe the third, you're objecting to the second.
Wikipedia has long been invaded by the Brits trying to "take back" their language.

They also have a "humour" page and "humor" redirects to it. How appalling.

Nowhere (and I mean NOWHERE) in America will you catch anyone referring to any kind of beverage container as a "beaker". As far as vessels are concerned, in America, a beaker is the standard laboratory vessel, period.
