I know. I have been staying off RHP during the work day, leaving me confused when I get home from work. In less than a day the people change, the lingo changes, there are new feuds, new fads.

I tried to trick Nordlys into doing this, but she is too clever to fall for it.

I don't post in every thread. Far from it.

She is, but we should try to con some more people into it, need to spread the work around. I'll do some weekend stuff, but maybe a bit more of longer "special story" type pieces than just the daily summary.

Now we need a budget for those "on location" pieces. We better talk to Russ about dinging people with a surcharge. 😉

We have an advantage though, there are people on this site who could act as coorespondants all over the world. Although if we can start with getting someone from outside New England that would be great.

How about a grammar fee? We start with a fee for every sentence that doesn't begin with a capital letter and every time the word I is wriiten with a lower case i. That alone would be enough to finance whatever we wish.

I like it ... except I'd be out a lot of money myself. Or I'd have to hire a proofreader, again costing me money.

Bowmann, Nordlys, and I should be part of the team deciding offenses and penalties.

If I had said "Bowmann, Nordlys, and myself", I think the penalty should have been $200 and a 6 month sentence.

I like the idea of a grammar fee, but with a twist:

Anyone who decides to correct other people's spelling mistakes has to pay a fee.

😞

I usually pay people who correct my spelling or grammar with a wreck.

Would there also be a fee for writing 'i' instead of 't'?

You call it payment, but I'd say it's charity.

No, those wrecks are well-earned, which cannot be said of all wrecks. Cheers to the nitpickers and hairsplitters! I wouldn't have learned as much as I have in the forums without them.
