Think Steinbrenner will make him cut his hair?

Quote from the article:

"Moving from Fenway Park to Yankee Stadium will mean a change of style and scenery for the long-haired, bearded Damon - a fan favorite in Boston for his scrappy play and scruffy look. A razor is in his future because New York owner George Steinbrenner bans beards and long hair."

Good question. Answer: the face fuzz has to go and I suspect that the hair will be trimmed somewhat also. The Yankees are a bit 50ish about such things, particulary since Torre's been the manager.

Look for Boston to go the way of Atlanta now that they have their World Series. The ownership knows that Fenway Park will be soldout for practically evey game whether Damon or Fred Flintstone plays outfield. Boston is going downhill to mediocitry. Hopefully Damon, just as Johnson, Giambi, Rodrigues(z), and Sheffield have proven, will make NO difference in the Yankee's upcoming seasons and George Steinbrenner will someday go to his grave (hopefully after a long life, of course) remembering the 2000 World Series as something that happened a long-long time ago.....😀

Seattle is working on their pitching. So we've got that going for us.

Damon doesn't have the arm to field effectively at Yankee stadium. He is fast, and gets on base, but he can't throw. Fenway was a perfect fit for him because the outfield is about the size of most ballpark infields.

P.S. My wife is heartbroken, he was her favorite player

EDIT: That didn't take long phlab

Bernie never had much of an arm and neither did Mickey Rivers. Center field in Fenway goes back to 420 feet at its deepest point; it's only shallow in left center. Damon gives the Yankees a lead off hitter, so Jeter can go back to hitting second his best spot. Damon doesn't walk a lot, but he has good speed and is a legit .300 hitter. Now if we can only get some starting pitchers younger than 40 .......
