at my school, the kids that smoked were the skids that no one liked or talked to.

There also was a fine line between smoking and your grades. The cutoff seemed to be 75%. Those who smoked got below 75% on tests/grades. While some of the non-smokers got below 75% too, the only ones who got above 75% were the ones who didn't smoke.
