Are you blindly challenging people?
Try the open invites, or at least send people a message before challenging them. Some people can be a bit fussy at times, myself included.

Become a member , then join a clan . You get very few deleted games playing for a clan in clan challenges .

Some players find themselves with heavy gameloads and don't want more games at that particular time or are too focused on tournament or clan league games

I`m in the room to play chess. But sometimes in the open invites, subscribres tend to title games "Subscribers only please" or "stars only please", but still get the games taken up by ignorant loudmouthed idiots that can`t read. Hence they then get deleted.

challenge players who move really much

Or look for a buddy who will be online at about the same time as you and agree to play at least one game all the time (look up Ponderable and Scandra for such a relation.

What people like ta the site is the community, so they hang around in forums some time...and some may even think about a game at hand...
