Did you know that the Dutch cook book from 1668 I'll be cooking out of has four recipes for pigeons, and not one of them involves ketchup or even tomatoes? And that lemons were apparently used a lot, including salted ones?

This is by far my favourite pigeon thread.

I've had both separately. Knowing what I tasted, I have as much desire to try pigeon flesh with ketchup as I have for salmon with milk chocolate, or Laphroaigh with Coca Cola.
