has anyone tried a diet that actually works? having read Atkins own book on the
subject i seem rather sceptical considering that he himself was obese, although there
does seem some logic to his arguments. Clearly he does not believe in low fat foods
and i have to agree, for in many instances the fat content is merely substituted with
sugars, the manufactures have to, for otherwise their products might taste like
cardboard, for its the fats that carriy the flavour, take it away and you must substitute
it with something, thus low fat foods tend to be high in carbohydrates (sugars).
Another idea i think it was expressed by FMF in a totally unrelated post was that its
best to separate things like proteins and carbohydrates, eating them at different
times. I have heard this idea expressed and was wondering if it had any efficacy. Any
ideas would be appreciated or what has worked for you - regards Robbie.

Weightwatchers say: you can eat anything you like, but not all the time.

This is a Chess Forum not The Fanny Craddocks Guide to good eating Forum.
Chess players drink lots of coffee drenched in sugar and eat loads of chocolate.
Fruit and stuff like that are laced with something called Vitamin 'C'.
Everyone who has ever lived and and died has at one time or other come
into contact with Vitamin 'C'. It's a killer.
Mods please move this thread to the General Forum. Fat Robbie has

I love soup! spicy tomato and lentil is my favourite, with oven baked breads.
Weight is in what your eyes see, and what you think is necessary to eat. Simple as.
There are no excuses. Drop off the fat intake, eat veg/salad sandwiches for a week, with a little salmon or chicken as a sandwich taster, and drop the sweet drinks. Stop the in-between meal snacks - and stick to the above. If you feel hungry, have a cold beer. That will stuff you up on top of sandwiches, and not french-fries fatty crap.
If it works after 2 weeks... PM me. 😉

in the street, its no easy task, cause her food is awesome. I dont think i eat too much
its simply a matter of increasing ones metabolism and in order to do that one must
increase ones heart rate and that takes exercise. My job is fairly physical and labour
intensive but it doesn't increase ones heartbeat.

hungry! stop snaking is a great idea, instead of a whiskey diet what about a cereal
diet, like eating weetabix with fresh fruits for breakfast and lunch? soup without bread
is like man without women, they are made as compliments of each other.

She feeds everybody, not just you, as you said.
Take a think about that, and about how fatty Indian food and oils are, no matter how delicious. Believe me, I love a good curry. But not an Indian curry daily - too much, my man.
Your metabolism is natural, unless you go the steroid way and that is more detrimental to your weight and natural endocrine system.
Forget the wife's curries, contrary to my previous knowledge of last post, and take the bread, with minimal sauce/soup. 😉
