I have actually been getting annoyed about the increasing number of 'announcements' digsby has been spitting on the screen. for now I just clicked 'disable' on the 'research' button in the 'support digsby' menu.

what are you thinking of using instead? it's been traditionally a pain to find an adequate multiclient...

Seems OK and the Facebook support is definitely better than Digsby from the get go.
