I know there are a few other Pantera fans like me out there.

There are no confirmed reports as to who the other slain band member is.

And this happens on the anniversary of John Lennon's death!

Oh my god, that's terrible. That's not quite as big as Lennon being shot but nonetheless this is a sad day for rock and music in general. 😞

Well I used to like them a lot back in the early-mid nineties, but haven't listened to them for many years.
Still a shocking piece of news.

Not to wax proverbially loquacious about this, but Pantera, specifically Dime and his brother Vinnie, were a big part of my life. The first time I heard Pantera, I was instantly envious of the drummer's sympatico with the guitar player (I didn't know they were brothers at first) and their tightness and rhythmic/melodic attitude combined with a VICIOUS tone was something I had only heard in the realm of prog-rock and fusion, not straight-up heavy metal.

Not to mention the fact that going to concerts now will be akin to getting on an airplane.

Now BLASTING Cemetery Gates....

This guy ruined any chances of a Pantera reunion... Some people just don't think.

America is full of idiots who go berserk when they have a gun in their hands.
This guy killed four people from nowhere,it's not possible that this happens only in the USA,never heard such stories in Italy, maybe because here it's not so easy to get and own a gun or a rifle............

Wow! Never thought Rav would be a Pantera fan.

I personally am a huge Pantera fan. Have the Cowboy From Hell tattooed on my right arm. I think Pantera was a great band in their day and touched alot of us in the early 90's.

A very sad day indeed......
Thinking of leaving work early to add "RIP Dimebag" to my tat.

Big Pantera fan here, too.

This is truly sad news. I'm gonna go watch my Pantera 3 - Watch It Go video. One of the best rock videos available.

RIP Dimebag.
