I'm talking about the old board game here. If you're a fan, check out playdiplomacy.com. Anyone interested in getting a RHP game going?

For fans of Risk and Conquer Club.

Rules can be found at http://www.diplomacy-archive.com/diplomacy_rules.htm

God, no. The last time no1marauder whined so much about being about to lose that I thought I was in the Debates forum.

No1 was the only player who DIDN'T gerk me around. Everyone else were back-stabbers... who got theirs in the end.

What, by winning? I don't think I back-stabbed you but to be honest the aim of the game isn't loyalty to your allies.

I'm in if there are enough, but lets make sure there are only RHPers, last time we had external members there was no sense of trust with them and it impinged on the game.

And the halfling states, with you as an ally, who needs enemies?

Not to mention the hobbits!

Edit: Oops, Starrman beat me to it. The site loads sooooooo slooooooowly here at the moment that I am happy to get anything through at all.

Mine probably wouldn't be any better if I had played more than once... (not counting stepping in for Palynka for a few turns in my Soba outfit)

It took about 3-4 months last time we played it here. It seems like it might get boring, but it doesn't at all (unless you become a crippled nation waiting to die of course).

This is the one we originally played: http://www.agegames.com/mw/ I'm not sure if it's different to the diplomacy game Darvlay's advocating, but a lot of people here got involved and went on to try the Japanese and Dragon based versions. I'd welcome a return to it.

I'll give it a go, but i'll have to look at the rules to see how to play.

Looking at the rules is cheating.
