I usually have to e-mail my friends and ask them to check my move before I make it, to ensure that I am actually about to get checkmate, as this rare occurence generally amazes me to the point of disbelief.
Once victory has been assured, I generally feel smug and superior for a while before losing to someone else and feeling useless again.
