i think chess is a little too advanced for primary school. this gives me an idea for a new thread, i'm off to spirituality.

Yes... I 'like' (adore, cherish) chess as an incredibly open ended competitive game and all of my conversational chess games with site members.

My son Eric began learning the game at the age of two. Won his first tournament in the first grade, going up against 4th-6th graders in the finals.

They claim kids who play chess have higher math scores than those who don't play. I haven't seen the actual surveys on that, but have no reason to doubt it either.
