without nurses the doctors couldn't do their job properly.
And some docs wouldn't do certain jobs. So it's down to the nurse to do the job!!!!
And some HO are so useless in a hospital environment that I sometimes wonder how they got through their exams etc.!!!

I shall tell my 20 stone, 6ft 4 rugby playing Brother that!

He is a nurse in the RAF, doing airomed work, so he see's some awful stuff, but finds it very satisfying.

Nurses - if the way in which Alex has been looked after, most Doctors dont know one end of a stethescope from the other and as for patient interaction it shouldn't be allowed.

yeah, that's right.
We get a lot of complaints about that.
It's not only the young HO's even the Consultants do that sometimes.
Talking infront of the patient about the patient to other fellow doctors and then leave.

You might want to spell out whatever HO is short for; here in the US (and elsewhere) it equals whore, unless of course you were using it as such.

My wife has been a registered nurse for 31 years and she likes it when the new doctors ask her for advice.

HO= House Officers!!! Qualified doctors in their first year!!!

Yeah, we get ask a lot which is quite nice. But that wears off quickly as well.

I had a great little Korean nursie who would sit on my bed, my arm around her butt, and give me morphine shots...ahh...
