I think if it is for personal consumption (e.g. bottled milk from a shop that you are just going to drink yourself) then it is fine.

Drinking milk from a carton which other people are going to drink from I think is not very considerate.

After putting ya fingers down yer throat and making yourself sick..throwing up in the sink opposite the toilet, whilst having a number 1 and a 2 and after flushing, reaching for that milk carton, not bothering to wash your hands is very naughty.
