Both forms are accepted and I wouldn't listen to someone who spells wrong grammar but still wants to correct other people's mistakes.

....and i would not listen to someone who uses a contraction in a
sentence...do you think the british empire was built on contractions ?...
did lawrence of arabia pass out contractoins before beginning his suez
campaign ?....did the medieval church sell contractions for the forgiveness of sins...are there any contractions in the magna carta...
