I've found bike forums to be very helpful and helped me with my biking expendatures. I'm thinking of getting into kayaking and want to know if any one knows of some good forums, or if you have some good insights on how to get into the sport I'm all ears.

Old Town Kayaks has a forum. Also, google Whitewater Kayaks. You can do cartwheels with a small whitewater kayak....if you're crazy!

I will but it will be nice to canoe or kayak later in the year, my uncle recently passed away and it would be nice to still keep the tradition of canoeing in the family.

You could combine the two (cycling / canoeing) with some running etc and and go adventure racing,
