I did not know that a super storm was from some spirit being or is sentinent. Perhaps you were thinking about some Revelation judgement and not just some extraordinary storm.

believing into a storm that 'magically' appears every 100 years is clearly a matter to be discussed in the spirituality forum.

the 100 year storm is used in engineering as a risk managment tool. It is used to determine how big or how much capacity a system must be designed for. Most systems (storm water managment, sewers etc) are not designed to 100 year storm but rather 10-20 year storms.

In Canada, Hurricane Hazel in the 1950's is used as our 100 year storm.

That is not the definition of 'a 100 year storm' though is it now?
It refers to a storm that occurs whereby there is a 1% chance of a storm of that magnitude happening again. Science, not science fiction.

I have read the Bible from cover to cover. As far as I know it does not mention a thing about a cycle of weather used to judge or as a result of sin. I thought that the socalled hundred year storm was just some once in a lifetime super storm. One of the guys that i worked with told me that the roofs built in Cailfornia had to be built to withstand a hundred year snow. That was the first and last time I ever heard of a hundred year storm till now. I guess all those years in a Baptist Church they failed to inform me about the weather paterns. P.S. Put me down as unbelieving in a spiritual hundred year storm.

Yes, it is a once in a lifetime storm...especially since most people don't live beyond 100 years

I doubt anyone would ask whether a statistical concept exists or not.

Dick Feynman did.
