Lucky I survived and lucky I didn't end up killing someone in those days.

I saw a story on the news a few years ago... a guy driving drunk, with his best buddy in the passenger seat. His buddy had the window down and was half-way out of it, hootin' 'n hollerin' at people as they drove past.

The guy woke up in his bed the next day, to cops knocking on his front door.

Little did he know... parked in his driveway was his car, and hanging out of the passenger side window, was the decapitated body of his best friend. Apparently he drove too close to a telephone pole. He never even registered that his friend was killed. Just parked the car, went inside, and upstairs to bed.

Yeah. I'm lucky I'm not dead or behind bars.

I saw that news item, too. Sickening. I am glad that you are still with us. You had a great future waiting for you that you would have otherwise missed. 🙂
