Ok, so i failed...but don't you think there should be a better way of marking it?

In my test i had one major fault, i didn't stop at a crossroad that all the markings had eroded away.

But dont you think that it is a bit unfair that half a years work should all come down to a mistake i made in 40 minutes?

Bummer... but if you didn't stop you are lucky you didn't get slammed. When do you get to take the test again?

i think that is fair enough (unlucky 4 u though).
i mean the instructor knew to stop and if u had a license and went thru and caused an accident it could have been a lot worse.

may sound a bit harsh but i think it will make u more concious when u take it again and hopefully when u get yre license as well.

good luck end of april

thanks Dan, you are right. I was just annoyed about how long it has taken me to learn and i threw it away.

Saying that, i probably would be a danger if alloud out on the roads πŸ˜›

When I was 19 I lived in the US for a while. Back then (14 years ago or so) if you failed your driving test you didn't have to pay.

Here in Holland if you fail your test it still costs you hundreds of euros. So the incentive is basically to fail people to bag more money.

It's a bloody sham.
I failed twice. Once for cutting off a truck and once for not looking in my mirrors enough.

I still can't parallel park though.

Me neither LMAO

Ten years ago my,now ex,girlfriend did the exam, she failed the first time because she put on her sunglasses in a turn.Examinator said 'In a turn you have to keep two hands on the steeringwheel at all times!' She replies 'Yes,I know, but I couldn't see where I was going cause suddenly the sun broke through' 'Sorry, you should have foreseen that',was his reply. Now you have to know that is was a rainy day and the sun just broke through the first time that day at that, for her, unfortunate moment.
We have the same system as in the netherlands, fail or pass the price is the same.I think he was just looking for a reason to fail her 😠

I took two exams, for motorcycle and for car,it's separated in Belgium, and passed both the first time πŸ˜€
I was lucky with the car though πŸ˜‰

i think everyone should trade in their cars for pushbikes. πŸ˜‰
seriously there is far, far too much traffic on the road. pollution in the city is ridiculously high, asthma complaints are increasing all the time. There are also too many boy racers who think the roads are race tracks and have no concern for the safety of other drivers or pedestrians. i think they should make it twice as hard to pass your test and increase the age.

I lost 10 pts on my road test for failing to hug the curb on a turn. I dk what the deal is in other states, but in NY, you can lose up to 30.

Shame you failed but it's the same for all of us. I'm doing my advanced driving and I failed the written test by 1 mark. To pass you need 90 out of 100 but you need to get at least 20 out of 25 per section. I got 92 but only 19 in one section.
The biggest problem with drivers in the UK is that once they pass their tests that's it until they're 60+. The number of people who don't read the Highway Code or let their driving deteriorate is incredible.
We should introduce a free exam that has to be taken every 5 years and if you fail you have to have some lessons then re-take. Three strikes and you have to resit to get you licence back. That would hopefully make everybody take a bit more notice.
Things that p**s me off are drivers who:-
Flash their lights at friends
Drive with fog lights (front and/or rear) when it's clear
Pip their horns when waving at friends or leaving the house
Don't indicate at all
Check the Highway Code if you think I'm being petty. All these are against the rules and make life miserable for all concerned.
I agree with getting back to not using the car but it's very difficult when you have to work so far away. My journey to work is over 8 miles each way and I wouldn't fancy riding that after a 12 hour shift.

Hey man.You better be glad there wasnt a car coming. I am a firefighter and i see wrecks all the time they suck. you would have been T-Boned and could have been killed. Its just a common mistake. Remeber to stop at all cross roads even if u got a green light. Ive seen more wrecks than you can imagine

Are you going to do that then Jo? You'd certainly get fit cycling from Radcliffe to Uni twice a week!
I cycle to work (only 2 miles), and haven't used my 4 litre Jaguar for a couple of weeks now so I'm in "Holier than thou mode!"

I'll quote a friend of mine who took the driving license in the USA and now returned to Italy:' in the US you can piss on the written test, kill a pedestrian ,and you still could pass '
