You're wearing your glasses the wrong way round.

Originally posted by mokkoDid you try going to 'control panel' then 'display' then 'settings'
I turn my back for one second and now everything has become super sized on my computer screen. Why? How?
I went to view...text size...that didn't work. This is driving me crazy. How do I make it normal again? :'(
to see if it changed? For instance, my wife likes the lowest setting,
600X800 and you can't even display all the programs on the program
list that way. And the text looks big too.
Try all of the combinations, there should be a list pop up, then
when you hit 'apply' it gives a test image for thirty seconds or so
and a box comes up saying 'do you want to keep this setting?'
yes or no. If you don't like it, hit no and try another setting.
On my wifes monitor, its a 19" and only 2 settings give a squared
off image. The rest give weird curvy traces. That might just be
thing with this monitor but only two settings work, on at something
like 1280 X 1600 and the bottom setting, 600X800 which sounds
like where you are right now.

Originally posted by mokkoI'll assume you're Windows based : control panel > display > settings and then slide the 'screen resolution' to the default setting for your monitor ( 1024 x 768 ) is more usual.

I wish I had done just that before she locked all my documents. π
You shouldn't if you do. If someone attacks your comp from
some virus or trojan, if you have it set to an administrator account,
and they get inside your comp, you can kiss goodby anything you
wanted to be private.
You should have a name reserved for administrator but do your
normal stuff under a limited account.

All I know is that when my spitwad of an ex lived here I had a paasword protect on my comp. And I gues I made a password for some other stuff as well. When he left I took off the password to log in but for all admin changes I need a password that I can't remember.

Go to control panel, then 'user accounts' and double click on it.
It will show you what kind of account you have and how many.
It is good if you have at least one of them being an administrator
account, that one lets you have full access to everything on the comp.
If it says all of your accounts are 'limited' then you need someone
with hacking skills to get to be an administrator. You really need
to have at least one account as admin and the one you normally
use to be limited.

WHOOOO HOOOO π
All is normal again. Thanks. That was starting to give me a headache. What I would like to know is how the heck the baby gets into all these settings and changes them. I'm thinking I may need to set up video survailance. She may be smarter than she's leting on. π
Next time your baby changes it you can just right click on the screen and then select PROPERTIES and then SETTINGS. It's an easier way to set your screen.
