COUld anyone advise me on what to look for whilst purchasing a DVD burner. I wish to burn films from my PC. I've never quite got my head around all this +/- multi region multi format balloni.

Thanks in anticipation.

DVD burners are now only about 80 bucks US, go for the multi-layer ones, they double the amount of stuff you can get on it, about
8 gigs. Also get the kind that laser scribes. That is a new feature that can be used to label the DVD or CD, by turning it over and using the software that comes with it, you enter the words you want it to say and the laser is strong enough to etch the words right into the backside without damage or effecting your stored data. Thats a neat trick.
Most of them are multi-format, RW, R, +, -, etc. DVDR is the kind
you only record once, RW allows multiple recordings and recording
over several sessions, There is a lot to know about that subject but
you can fish that out on the net.

I`ve got one of these LG GSA-4163 and can`t fault it. They play anything you throw at them and it cost like £40.
