Congratulations to Ellen MacArthur, an extraordinary young woman!
Solo round the world in a record time of 71 days (and a bit).

Did you also hear that despite this great feat she had to get a man to park the boat for her when she got back?

I have to say that I think the whole thing is a bit over-hyped. Last night's evening news was hopeless - the 1st 10 minutes on this event.
Now, its a major achievement, and a 'good thing', but not the main item on the news, and not for half the program.
We had 10 minutes of interviews, nice wee graphics etc about sailing and boats and maps and the like. All very nice. Then we got a quick 30 seconds of news of a truce in the middle east.
Priorities!

I find the entire woman nausiating and a pain in the arse.
