For me it is really funny since I use different Systems and the emoji look different 😉

There is certainly a more uniform look to emoji design now, but there are still some differences and interpretations can vary.

agreed. This is certainly a downgrade from the previous emojis...kind of like going back to a dot matrix printer.

I figured it's a move to handheld applethings - we oldies with W7 desktops using IE11 enjoyed the yellow square things, but millennials with appletoys need their fix and they outnumber us. Pity we can't have both.
