England went 2-0 up 4 minutes into the second half .... then evil scummy Sven ordered England to spend the next 40 minutes trying to keep the ball by the corner flags in their own half ... at home ... against Luxembourg ....

If ever there were a recipe for disaster, it is defending for 90 mins. Heck, some of Englands games have been the most boring football I've seen for years. 11 men in the box, hoofing it halfway.

Europeans may dislike our politicians following Bush to war like a lap dog. But a lot of Europeans admire the way we play football. No - nonense, full of pace and passion.
(They also quite like the fact we never win anything too)
