It's hardly "these days" anymore. Lynch started filming Eraserhead in 1971. Perhaps the fact that he was only 25 at the time influenced his theme.

Me either. It still freaks me out. Someone said that ever a film could cause damage to the mind then Eraserhead is that film. I agree. You can not describe it in words. You have to actually see it. Even then, you still don't know what it is.
