New CD out in november. Anyone ever hear of J J Cale? It's funny, I used to live in Escondido. Wonder if the title refers to the meaning, hidden valley as a more general term, Road to Hidden Valley, or the town of Escondido? Clapton says Cale was an inspiration to him early one but I never heard of him. He is from Oklahoma and may tour with Eric next year. Cale produced this album and wrote 11 of the songs. John Mayer wrote another and Clapton wrote 1 and they did one cover. So its new material. Still never heard of Cale though.

He was good when he played with Lou Reed.

He's good anyway, but y'know what I mean.

Crapton made millions off of J.J.'s songs and style... big surprise. At elast he's repaying him by bringing him on tour. J.J. has been touring dinky blues bars for the last 40 years.
